4 recommendations for a green Christmas at the workplace!

Christmas time is over us and all over the world companies are doing different activities to enhance the Christmas spirit in favor for a positive culture in the workplace! But have you thought about, if your company is promoting a just, green and sustainable Christmas culture?

Already have a responsible and sustainable way of disposing of the company’s paper and plastics? Then have an employee activity, where you go the nearest woods and find leaves, moss, sticks and pinecones to make your very own green Christmas decorations!

In FH we have gathered a number of recommendations for you as an employee to push for a just, green and sustainable Christmas Culture at your work place.

Make a green wish list for your employer

Instead of accepting your regular cooperate Christmas gift, go forth and ask your employer for green changes in the workplace.

It could be that you demand a network of employees that can cooperate on how to make your workplace more sustainable, that you demand reskilling programs in order for you to be able to follow the green transition or maybe that you want to have a Sustainability Representative, elected by the employees, who can push for just and green solutions in board meetings.

Ask for green Christmas decorations

Instead of always throwing away all of your plastics and papers, maybe you can recreate something new and more personal Christmas decorations for your workplace?

Doing something together as employees enhance the workers productivity as the community feeling will create a more cooperative atmosphere. AND at the same time, you show how Christmas spirit doesn’t need to be founded in expensive new decorations, but re-using paper or plastics is cheaper, sustainable and more personal!
