Pia and Nina work towards a climate friendly workplace

Pia Olesen and Nina Heidelbach work to enable the green transition at their workplace, the company Alfa Laval in Aalborg. Therefore, the two worker representatives have participated in HK Private’s course “Climate Activism at the Workplace”, and established a climate committee. HK is Denmark’s largest union for salaried employees.

The german consensus on coal phase out: It must be just

The coal phase-out is accompanied by a boost of renewable energy expansion. The aim is to combine the expansion of wind and solar power, phasing out coal, and structural change in achieving a socially just, reliable, and legally certain exit from coal. 

Conference on Worker Representatives and the Green Transition

On the 17 November, FIU, the internal educational system for all member organisations of the Danish Trade Union Confederation arranged a conference in Helsingør. The conference was aimed at establishing the roles for worker representatives in enabling the green transition. The time to act is now, and FIU’s conference was an important contribution to the process of
bringing the transition to the workplaces.
